Biography

Professor in Evolutionary Botany at the Faculty of Biology, University of Murcia, Spain. Leader of the Research Group ECCE HOMO (Evolución, Cuaternario, Cenozoico, Ecología). Research in palaeobotany, palynology, palaeogeography and Quaternary plant ecology. Last projects focused on the patterns and processes of human evolution linked to floristic and vegetation change during the Cenozoic, and palaeoartistic research with fossil plants.
Editor in Chief of Review of Palaeobotany and Palynology. Editor of Quaternary Science Reviews.
