Biosketch
Research Professor of the Spanish Council of Scientific Research (CSIC) at the Doñana Biological Station, and associate professor at Univ. Sevilla (Spain). His research focuses on the biodiversity of ecological interactions among species. He chairs the Spanish National Research Plan in the area of Environmental Sciences and Technologies.He studies biological diversity from both ecological and evolutionary perspectives, and how ecological interactions shape complex ecological systems.
