Biography

My research focuses on taxonomy and phylogeny of neotropical ferns and lycophytes and I have been carrying out several works in collaboration with Brazilian and foreign researchers. Also active in Botanical Nomenclature and has served as member of the Edit. Committee of the latest three editions of the International Code of Botanical Nomenclature (2006, 2012, and 2018). Also participate of the General Committee for Nomenclature (IAPT) and editor of: American Fern Journal, TAXON, Journal of Systematics an d Evolution, and Webbia.
