Biography

My career is linked to the Botanic Institute of Barcelona as Scientific Research of the Spanish National Council (CSIC).
The research areas of my greatest interest are plant diversity and plant evolution. Within these areas, the main lines of my research are systematics, hybrid speciation, polyploidy, plant phylogeny and biogeography, focused on of the Compositae, which is the largest family of flowering plants.
