Biography

I started my career as a plant taxonomist mainly interested in the plant genus Veronica L. (Plantaginaceae) and still enjoy a lot collaborating with the projects as Flora iberica (recently finished!).
Later on, I was somehow naturally extending my interest to other Mediterranean genera and to other areas such as plant evolution, phylogeny, phylogeography and conservation genetics. And ended up (well, this is never-ending, I know) fascinated by an amazing evolutionary process: hybridization (polyploid or not) and its ecological, functional and genetic consequences. I am there at the moment, but always stepping forward! SAPERE AUDE.
