Biography

Manuel Pardo de Santayana is Profesor of Botany and Ethnobotany in Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM) since 2006. His research is interdisciplinary and is focused on several aspects related to the traditional use of plants, mainly the Spanish medicinal and food plants, and is author or editor of more than 160 papers. He is the president of the Spanish Society of Ethnobiology and coordinates the Inventario Español de los Conocimientos Tradicionales relativos a la Biodiversidad.
