Biography

Karen Wilson is a systematic botanist, based at the Botanic Gardens of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. Her interests include the systematics, phylogeny and biogeography of the Casuarinaceae, Cyperaceae, Juncaceae and Polygonaceae. She has been Secretary of the General Committee for the International Code of Nomenclature for algae, fungi and plants for 12 years. Other professional interests include botanical history, biodiversity informatics projects, DBMS, scientific editing.
