Pamela S. Soltis is Distinguished Professor and Curator at the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida, in Gainesville, Florida, USA, and she also serves as Director of the University of Florida Biodiversity Institute. Her research focuses on patterns and processes of plant evolution and involves diverse sources of data, from digitized herbarium specimens to plant genomes. She is a member of the National Academy of Sciences of the U.S.A.
