Steven Johnson is a Professor of Biology in the School of Life Sciences at the University of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa. His research focuses on the role of pollinators in the evolutionary diversification of plants, the development of specialized pollination systems, and floral mimicry and deception. In recent years he has also been investigating the role of floral volatiles in mediating plant-pollinator interactions.
